cant hear some new instruments in Reason?

SO sometimes when i have a complex track going, like right now i have a track that has 14 different instruments plugged in, and i try and pull in a new instrument, i get no sound out of that new instrument. Do i need to put in another mixer or something? ive tried that, but the instruments dont connect into it immediately like they do with the original mixer, and im not entirely sure how to plug instruments into the mixer manually.
 
If they don't connect automatically to the second mixer you created just flip the rack around and do it manually. It literally only takes a few seconds.
