best way to sample

I chop the sample in fl studio.save the chops and map them to kontakt.Then i adjust them to the selected tempo and play with the chops along with the drum beat until i find something that's working..it's easy

sampling can be done numerous ways. figure one out that works for u and run with it!

Like the majority of answers here, I agree that there is no specific way to sample. If you hear something cool on Youtube in really crap quality but you really like it, sample it. Could make something really cool. You don't need to "just use vinyl" etc. I personally sample from Spotify through soundflower. There is SOOOO much stuff on Spotify to sample from as the library is virtually endless, and you don't have to pay to stream the full song.

At the end of the day though, all that matters is the final product. If you like what you hear, then you've done a good job sampling.
