Best DAW out there to sample

I have heard good things about Sony Acid, but I prefer to use the Recycle and Reason combo. It's very quick and easy to chop up samples with Recycle.

For sampling I prefer a basic audio editor like Audacity. Record-trim-save.
As far as vst sampling goes Shortcircuit with your sequencer of choice is tough to beat.
Cost=0 cents.

i use reaper and poise, just drag your recorded audio in, resize it to whats needed then split it up and drag each slice onto the pads in poise. no major editing or exporting needed unless you want to do it that way.

Studio One has some of the best time stretching features I've seen in a daw. Also u can extend or shorten a track without changing the pitch. The audio quantizing is pretty simple as well.Using its Impact vst pad, u can do some real damage. U can even save ur sample in a folder on the fly. U can record a vst instrument, qquickly transform it to audio, save the audio in ur browser (thru S1 linking to the browser), throw that on some Impact pads and jam out.... all within maybe 15 seconds tops.
