4 years ago tomorrow Eyedea died of an accidental overdose(don't do opiates!)

Eyedea is not well known but he was a MIDWEST LEGEND

I've never been too interested in 'battle rap' but moments like these are truly special....
You gotta love when there is no denying that a rhyme was made up on the spot

the 'back up dancer' rhyme turned an average performance into something that should be lesson to anyone that wants to know how to freestyle off the dome



Eyedea did more than just freestyle...he also put together some thoughtful, deep songs

Eyedea was one of the best freestyle and battle rappers ever. He was one of the few that translated that into quality recordings with substance, which is where most battle rappers fall apart.

This freestyle with Slug is one of my all time favorites

I was going to post that freestyle from Sway's show...good shit!!

Slug did a decent job trying to keep up with Eyedea there...I've always though of him as more of a songwriter so it was nice to hear a good freestyle from him!
