So I am a beginner to Dj'ing. I find that its my passion for music, so i started making beats and each day I improve more and more. I wanted to take it one step forward and be able to DJ and mix tracks. I have a small gig at a local bar, although i dont really do any mixing. instead, I just play the audio straight from my computer. I have a whole DJ set up. but now i want to learn how to DJ. i was looking for any advice and/or recommendations for someone who wants to start Dj'ing. Thanks!!

study songs...count....train yourself to hear 1st beat... takes awhile... once u do you can pretty much dj on anything. lots of tutorials on youtube for this.. do you have a controller or set up yet?

He's a great teacher.

I would say, start practicing counting beats (standards like 8 bars of 4 beats), train yourself to notice key elements in songs. Study and "collect" as much songs as possible, and practice a lot!! Watch a lot of videos on "how-to" digitaldjtips.com and ellasksins also have great tutorial.
