My vote goes to...

I have to give this battle to NFX...although synth like muh****a, I just wasn't feelin' Mothion's track at all. NFX had good production, I could almost hear Air Force One in it somewhere. Motion's beat just had a really awkward drum loop that I just couldn't nod my head to.

my vote to NFX. clean production in this one. i dont like the synth sample though, but the bassline is dope! drumz are good.

I aint feelin motions beat.. i tried it 3 times dawg, but i just dont feel this one... drums are weak

Peace

anyone else having trouble accessing soundclick today? trying to download Motion's beat but its not workin

yeah no luck with soundclick today nfx was good but I can't vote untill I can access the other track

Vote: NFX
His beat was better. Motion still got a little work to do. NFX's joint was more musical and had the little voices over the chorus sayin' static which was aight.

my vote.

wow. hard to judge this but I'll go with Motion. I tried to picture an MC on both tracks and in the end I feel like someone in the dirty south would rhyme over Motion's beat. NFX's beat sounded real late 80's dance music -like I could picture the rapper from C+C Music Factory on it...

MY VOTE=MOTION

im goin with motion. Production wise, I like NFX better, but I really dont feel it as a hiphop track... its almost like theme music from a movie...

NFX, I like your track (production wise), but alltogether...i think motion was more hiphop (yeah its confusing)...

MOTION

my vote goes to nfx.

motion had some good programming for some dirty south style drums, but the deep piano seemed to conflict a lot with the bass/strings...

while nfx's track seems a lot more like some electrobreak stuff, im not trying to use my vote as a tool of how i feel about the current boundaries of hiphop. nfx had a more cohesive song that wasnt self-conflicting. that and his track made me want to jump on the turntables and start cuttin it up fiercely!

Motion gets my vote on this one. While the track was not that great it still sounded somewhat better than what NFX offered. The NFX beat sounds like it belongs in a street chase scene in a bruce lee movie. Motion gets this vote.

i give this one 2 motion...it was more hip hop like bigmoz said...sounded str8....

nfx...ya **** was dope 2 tho son...hust feelin his a lil more....

VOTE:MOTION...

My Vote.....

I'm saying NFX, although his beat wasn't as conventional I pick NFX . I found motions beat to just sound off like there should only be 3 piano tones intsead of on or something just didn't flow right so yeah NFX all the way good job boys

I'm going to have to go with Motion here.

1) I liked the atonal elements in Motion's track. The use of diminished chords and patterns made it sound like an evil toy story kinda theme.

2) it sounded more like hip hop than NFX.

I liked the production quality of NFX better than Motion's. I even liked the beat better, but that's probably because I'm more partial to electronica. NFX's sounded more like electro/breakbeat than hip hop.

This was a close one in my opinion. Even tho NFX's track does sound more technoish then conventional hip hop i was able to feel it more because of the 4/4 timing. I liked the bass line and the drums flowed well and the production quality was nice. I felt that motions track had good melodies and a nice dark vibe, which i like, but the timing kept throwing me off and i couldnt really nod my head to it...good job both of you

Vote: NFX

Man I really wish there was some sort of point system for voting..static's I felt, that bass reminded me of some type of james bond thing going on there...and I liked it better overall. Motions sounded more urban, but the quality didn't sound nearly as good and didn't really feel like it and didn't have much push or pull to it, felt kind of flat...so i'm 50/50...but I have to choose so i'll choose what I felt the most and that was NFX...my judgment may be clouded too cause I love electronica also :bat: Good job both otherwise.

Like they said.. it sounded more hip hop.. you can see a clear difference in styles. But none the less NFX still had a great beat. The overall production was well done but I'm not feelin the techno/electro vibe.. so my vote goes else where...

no contest NFX wins

motion your beat had potential but you just can compete with the polish on NFX's track,

NFX while it isn't exactly the most modern or street level type track , you are obviously have a handle on your gear

MOTION

i was feelin motion's more as a hip hop track, i liked the production on NFX, like, as cool music more..
