1. This competition is for 2 types of producers.
  • Sample Pro – someone who prefers to sample songs to create remixes.
    *You must include the sample used in your entry's title.
  • Sample Con – someone who prefers to create original tracks from scratch.
    *No samples are permitted for Sample Con entries.
2. If you’re a Sample Pro, pick a song,Remix it!, and get to work.
 *Only samples from the list are permitted.
3. If you're a Sample Con, make your original track and enter it.
4. Only one song per producer; the beat must be a Sample Pro or Sample Con.
5. All entries must be posted in this thread as streaming audio only.
6. The entry with most votes wins.

how about add another rule so voters can only vote if they have over 50 posts so the best beat actually wins this time
 
I want to enter in as sample con. Do I have to upload the beat anywhere? Or is it okay if it's on my website?
 
Quick question? I've read the rules thread as well as this one and I'm wondering if its gunna be 2 different brackets for sample pros and cons... If so, could a producer submit one song to both...

Anyways, I'm down as a Pro... Sooo, Do I jus post the track here or what? Cause idk how to embed

make people who VOTE actually POST why they voted..

Damn, is it that hard to post in here your reasons...like, some beatmakers wanna know why they didnt win. if the sole reason is cuz "you didnt tell enough people to vote for u" its a pretty pointless thing, we're gonna see the same result every month.
 
@ risefromtheashs did you read at all what JC wrote in the last battle about what you just said? i think this is the part you are missing

...just like you would read a contract before you sign ,read the contest rules before you enter..... it seems as if you have all the confidence you need you just dont have the hustle it takes ..i dont think you get the actual point of this competition JC is trying to get us to spread the word of this site thru us inviting people to vote for us in this battle it's not about YOUR beats ,,just enjoy the competition my dude and make no mistake it is a COMPETITION
 
yes I read his post and its ****in retarded, "battle 4 exposure" hmm sounds like you're actually supposed to battle to gain certain exposure not for ppl who just gonna spam facebook, the whole point of beat battles is to see who made the best beat, I'd like to see you pull one of these stunts at an actual beat battle, antelope's beat was fkin insane, mine was pretty dope, no offense but you didnt deserve it man.
 
And after reading those 2 post ^^^^ ...count me out... as Rise said, the title misleads... I was under the impression that the competition would be judged on the basis of talent n not simple who can set up enough dummy accounts and vote for themselves... or who could get enough of their friends to register and vote for em... thought this was gun be a beat battle, not running for prom queen...

you have to under stand i sent out 80 comments over FP to vote for me it also brought attention to the battle itself and i had about 4-5 people tell me they thought sumbody else's beats was better so i voted for them and thats jus people who acually let me know they voted for sumbody else and thats perfectly fine i dident jus bring attaention to myself but to this battle in general this is not an actual beat battle in front of people... in this ""online battle"" YOU HAVE TO BRING PEOPLE TO THIS BEAT BATTLE IF YOU WANT TO WIN thats how it works, thats the rules, thats the way to play why would you play and1 street ball in the nba? jus like why would you go by live beat battle rules in an online battle where the rules are clearly different these are to different kinds of games my friend

For the record as20gp,antelope,Stanzah,risefromtheash's all had nice beats be sure to play by the rules you are given I dont know why i have to keep explaining this A majority of the people in this forum have no idea that this battle is even going on LET THEM KNOW YOUR SELF AND GET PEOPLE HERE TO VOTE!!!!

Targeted marketing is not spam...

Yo, if you're getting facebook spam, you can always unsubscribe from the one whom you consider a spammer. Doing so will give you more of the news you like, you know? Personally speaking, I believe talent is common because most can find theirs with practice, training, and development. The rarity is finding talented people who work strategically to achieve success.

Truth be told, I was torn between you and BRONXSTA when voting; however, you got my vote. In the end though, the best producer won January's competition. The goals of Battle 4 Exposure are to bring new FP members while promoting social activity between music makers and fans. BRONXSTA did just that on the last day of the contest and won because of it. His hard work paid off in this case. It takes great fans, music, and team promo to find success in music business. At least, this has been my experience.
Should it be about the music, promo or both? Tell me what you think FP...

Only one entry per competition. You must choose sample pro or sample con...

BRONXSTA did not create dummy accounts to win this competition. I checked his post for that day and you can too here.

This competition is for talented producers who hustle and not so much for talented producers who do nothing to promote their competition songs. It's time for producers to develop a fan base of hip hop artist, listeners, and dj's. Anyone who has a problem with asking forum members to vote doesn't really care about achieving the number one position.

Get involved with your music community on your time, so your music community can get involved with you on theirs. And btw, I can see if people are cheating most of the time and rest assure those who are caught will likely be suspended. Anyone who spots a cheater should bring me proof so measure can be taken to prevent further cheating.

I'm not sure I can make people vote on my terms; and even if I could, there's no really way to tell why people vote for who they vote for. I'm limited to taking one poll per post. Any other suggestions, I'm all ears...
