Bass tabs question

Say If I wanted to play the bassline to "sing a simple song" by sly stone on my keyboard, and I didn't have the midi file, but I had the bass tab. How would this help me play if there are no "frets" on my keyboard.

If the main riff of bass tab is:

G|----------------------7-9-9-7-9-9-
D|-2---2-5-0-2-2--------------------
A|--5-2--------------7-7------------
E|---------------3-5-------------

how would this help me play the song. I've played the notes D, then A twice, followed by D again 5 times, followed by E twice, A twice, and G 6 times during the 2 bar loop. I don't seem to be getting the right bassline though. Why is this? and what can I do?
 
The numbers correspond to the fret held on that string. Each higher fret # is a half step up in pitch.

So if I'm not mistaken the notes of the riff would be:

E - D - B - E - G - D - E - E - G - A - E - E - D - E - E - D - E - E

Keeping in mind that the notes played on different strings go into higher and lower octaves.
