Aretha Franklin joint (sample + my flip inside)

The Reason
What's good, ya'll? I've gotten quite a few samples from this section, and just thought I'd throw something back.

I got the sample from a friend of mine last night, and got busy on it immediately. Here's what came out.

I love hearing others peoples flips, and have some joints on my computer from other producers on here.

The title of the sample is "This Is For Real" by Aretha Franklin. You might recognize it from Sean P's "I Love You (*****)" track off of Monkey Barz.

I listened to this one, and it was hard for me to follow, just because the drums weren't really my style (especially the kick).

The chops were solid, though.

Nico: I thought your joint was solid. I would've probably chosen another snare, but that's just me. I'm loving the bass, though, and the hook was dope how it drops off at the end of each sequence.

Fredrock: I haven't heard it yet, and I'm mobile, so I'll have some feed for you tomorrow.

wicked chops on this you gave it a dark edge i reckon.
couldnt hear the kik to well tho. then again im on my laptop. thanx for the sample ill give it a bash.

pretty sick, I'd say just use another kick, but I'm listening on a laptop which could be the reason why it doesnt sound right

ya ty.. your chops were decent...drums could be better... drums always should sound good cuz its the structure of the beat
