Apogee Duet2 with mixer?

if i had 3 or 4 synths i wanted to run into an apogee duet, could i run all the synths into a mixer, then the main outs from the mixer into the inputs of the apogee? or would this signal flow just saturate the signal?

It'll work, though obviously you can't record them all at the same time (or you can, but they'll be on the same track). It'll go through the mixer's signal path so that will have its impact on things - depends completely on the mixer whether or not that impact is gonna be an audible one.
