I bought Battery a while ago after using it at another studio. I'm just getting around to using it and I'm having a boatload of latency issues. Anyone else using it. Other softsynths that I use on the same computer work fine. I downloaded the patches, but it still sounds terrible.

I also found out that it's not fully integrated with protools, you have to buy the protools bundle which is a lot more expensive.

Anyone else using it?

I use Battery (not PT), both as standalone and as VSTi plugin in Cubase SX. It has the same latency as other virtual instruments on my win machine. What audio card are you using?

it's got to be my laptop that i'm using. Because of the poor integration with protools, i have to run it on this laptop with a ghetto sound card. I'll upgrade one of the rack pc's here to run it. Do you like it by the way? I'm itching to see what I can come up with as far as neat grids.

Do I like it.... before NI released Kontakt I used it a lot, now I have Kontakt for my main sampler; I still use Battery, because of it's ease of use (good overview of loaded samples, easy access to cell parameters), but only for samples that don't need much editing/realtime processing; it is rather limited compared to Kontakt, and could do with a least some filters; I never use the drumkits that came with it. One thing that I like a lot though, is the fx-loop, which can be fully modulated (count - start- length) with controllers, it's easier to achieve this in Battery than in Kontakt.
