ummmmm....you probably won't find shareware drumstations that are decent. One cheap one though which is also a demo is the d-lusion drumstation, about 19 bucks for the whole thing. There is a review on it here on onlinedj.com. Also the Reason and rebirth demos you might wanna check out.

quote - "screws just fall out all the time; the world is an imperfect place", haha, classic. i just made a big faux pas with my girl last nite, so now i gotta think of something 'perfect' to correct the 'imperfection', hehe.
Do try the demo of Reason, u could at least sample the output of your computer and use that if u have a sampler (as the demo of reason doesn't save). U might like it so much u might buy it somehow.
I hope someone else can think of a good shareware drum machine so as to properly answer the question.

For almost any type of music related software that is shareware, freeware or demos go to;

For the absolute best, blow you away and get you stuck in creativity mode for the next century try Fruityloops. It is amazing!! While it isn't shareware the upgrades are FREE for life!! I bought it a couple years ago and in that time it has grown into a full music composition package.

Download the demo at;

Hammerhead is neat. It's free and pretty easy to use.

As the previous poster mentioned hitsquad is a good source as well.

FRUITYLOOPS 3 HAS JUST BEEN RELEASED, AND IT IS GREAT. PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING YOU NEED IS ALREADY INCLUDED. REMEMBER THAT THE BEST THINGS COME FROM COMPLETE AND TOTAL ABANDONMENT OF TYPICAL USES. I USE IT IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER SOFTWARE BUT IT REALLY IS ALL YOU NEED, AND QUALITY IS GREAT.
