Any free sampling software?

Hello,
My PadKontrol got here today and I realized my version of Garageband doesn't support sampling so I was wondering if there is any software out there for the Mac that you can use the PadKontrol on to trigger samples?

Reaper I think, If you really want to get to work buy Logic, Reason or Ableton Live. Logic has 40gb of sounds inbuilt so it's a great investment.

Thanks for the advice, I do plan on buying logic when I get practice messing with the pads but that will be a while.

And Xabiton, Garageband does record audio. I was saying my version doesn't have the option to sample like in the way Garaband 3 and up does. After chopping up the sections you want from a song, you can drag and drop them into a pop-up keyboard that can then be triggered using a midi device.
