What's up guys, I have a couple question and I'm hoping somebody can help me.
Right now I have a MXL 990, and Alesis Multi Mix 4 so obviously I'm not going for Cd quality. But I'm having trouble figuring out how to turn my voice down in my headphones. I like my beat loud in the phones, but I hate hearing my voice over the beat. And when I mess with the settings, its turning the beat up as well as my voice. I tried lowering the Gain but when it was low enough where I couldn't hear it, it was too low for a good mix. I know this can be done, just not sure how.
Also, I'm not sure how this works but I'm to believe that with an USB Interface, it acts as your sound card. However, everything plays fine through the interface, but the default mixer on my computer also is controlling the sound. For example, I can turn up the sound on my interface and it goes up, but if I mute the sound on my computer, there's nothing flowing through to the mixer. Is that normal? Or am I doing something wrong?
