Always Refreshing
Lighting hit my house, fried my motherboard (on 2 computers).
Found out it could be time to upgrade anyway.
So I'm not having a lot of money, playing some old games so anything will do.
But I'm not sure what is best for music (Reason/Live mostly, maybe some audio editing, but probably not)
Keep in mind that I'm a starving artist (I do this full time) so I'm strapped for cash (but have enough for a motherboard, ram, and a cpu)
Should I rather go AM3+ and hope for bulldozer to be good enough? (most DAWs use as many cores as you have, right? Propellerhead says they do,....) or should I rather look at AMD FM1 (Fusion APU)?
I'm pitting an A8-3850 against a 7750BE for now, cuz I have a 7750 laying around (old build) but would upgrade to bulldozer or at least a Phenom II (955 or so?) when the new chips come out so I can compare.
Either that, or I go with the APU and set it and forget it.
Thoughts? I would like my PC to be transparent.
