Advice for mixing

Don't forget you are making music, not trying to answer a math problem. Meaning it's not how you got there, but how does it sounds once you are there.

When regular people are going to listen to your music, they are not going to start saying stuff like i wish you had more compression, ouh maybe too much reverb...noo , they will only say either, nice beat or nah this is wack.

It's all about the final product.

Reason I'm sayin that is because I found some old mixing sessions of mine that I did before I acquired the knowledge needed. Although the mixing techniques were bad, the track still sounded good.

IT'S MUSIC !

But it's definitely a must to do research if you wish to be successful in that field.
