Try a combo of PRO-Q and soothe. I find great results slapping soothe on something, the, boosting broadly with an EQ where soothe cut.

It's all comparison, so lowpass certain things and push them back to make other things stand out. Also boosting 10k+ seems to push stuff forward imo. Also check limiter compressor settings on your master to make sure that isn't pushing your sounds back.
