Need some help on tempo!!!

yoooooo guys... i was wonderin if anyone new any programs that can read the tempo throughout a track (like every beat)... its because im sequencing a live track which im going to be assesed on.. and im trying to get it as near to the orginal as possible... so i need to get the variations in tempo.. im using logic pro 8 atm and im changing the tempo every beat but i have to listen to it which is getting a bit dry.. i was just wondering if anyone could help?

I don't know specificly on logic but most DAWs should have a feature to 'detect' the tempo of a song. In my experience, though, it is better to 'tap' the tempo into your sequencer if it has that feature, especially if the song in question is electronic, hip hop, or pop.
