Great screen size as fl studio can get a little cluttered, monster graphics card helps boost the computers image processing performance, but it doesn't necessarily translate to audio processing, that said, the processor and 8GB of Ram are extremely fast indeed, plus that super quick SATA hard disc will boot almost instantly, and it can also transfer any files a lot quicker and much more stable (Also USB 3 Connections) to be honest this computer has excellent all round specification, maybe a little overkill in the graphics department, however, like others have mentioned, it'll be quite some time before you'll need any kind of upgrade, forget any notion about buying a Mac, this system will burn the pants off any Mac of equivalent price range, if you do buy an external storage device, make sure it's also USB3 so your utilising this systems true capabilities. It's a real nice system and I don't see anything wrong with buying it for audio work, if you've got a decent TV, you should be able to connect your laptop via a HDMI lead for a much bigger desktop screen - alternative/ clone/ extension.
