hard disc recording on mac

Any suggestions or help on choosing a software for HD recording on a mac? Logic or Performer? Cubase or P-tools? Will be getting Reaktor3 if that makes a difference. Want to make the best choice. Thanks!

Why not start out with ProToolsFree at www.digidesign.com??? It's FREEEEEE.

You can always export the audio tracks to another sequencer if you decide to go with something else and in the meantime you can be learning the basics.
 
And ProTools is one tough cookie to get into. If you know ProTools, everything else will be a snap. I personally think that you can't beat CuBase VST 32 for the price. Especially when you price out a comprable protools system and the facts that CuBase works fairly well with the rest of the Steinberg line...
