I def hear some 90ness in your sample. Good choice of sample and chops to it. Yours drums sound good but kind of flat, meaning that that they arent as full and as leveled as the sample. Bring them up with some compression and you'll be good. Good job homie. Keep it up. Like the sample here man. I think you need to put in a bit of work on the low end, lots of mids but not much going on for the lows. A subtle bassline would work really well in here I think to fill things out. Really nice work keeping it interesting and use of panning.
