Cardiak type beat!

yea this is pretty sick the mix good i waiting to hear a pipe organ but i didnt get it :( still epic tho what are you using for the visuals in the video id like to do my beats the same

Thx appreciate the feedback guys..I'm using Sony Vegas as for the background I found it on YouTube somewhere..search "Moving Equalizer" or sumtn along those lines..

As for the mix, yea it needs a lil work, but that'll be left up to the engineer to adjust to their liking, n as for the "Such & Such type beat" comment, it's a marketing tool and nothing more..I don't go into a session thinking "hmm who shall I imitate today"

yeah its true. I just titled a video "meek mill / ace hood type beat" but thats the first time I did anything like that. Like i said its just a personal opinion. I think labeling yourself as another producer type is kinda like.....bad marketing. At least in my eyes

Yea i feel where ur coming from man...but nowadays that's how ppl search for beats, on YouTube at least...
N I'm not labeling myself as anything, I labeled this particular beat that way, only bkus i felt the drums were a bit similar to sumtn he would do..

Good work. Like the visuals. Maybe add in something abit different later on, cause you've kind of layed most your cards on the table by a 1/4 the way in.

Keep it up.

returnin feedback

man the vibe is sick! Sounds like some shit playin in the background while you walk back home after a war lol. Very "patriotic" in its own way you know
I like the drums, they could be more hard hittin nd especially the snare could be fatter. But they work with this type of beat just fine. Just to point out, the army/marching band snare is the shit on this! (it's the little things that matter right)
What can I say, I would love to spit a verse over it
Keep it up!

i love the progression of the bells but some variation on the 4th bars drum pattern could work wonders for the track imo, like some sort of flourish each time to give more flair to the track. great work otherwise tho.

I'll be honest, it's far from Cardiak's style, tho it's good because it's a G. Lepe style beat!
The mix needs some work as others stated before me, sounds like you boosted the mids of the snare too much so it's losing it's power! tho it's not a complicated beat, so it's giving enough space to a rapper, I still missing an extra sound that would give more "fatness" to the beat!
And I have to agree that "such n such" style beat. It might help you to get found easier and maybe helps you to make some money but the end of the day you want the people to remember you as you and not as "Yeah he makes beats that sounds like Cardiak style beats". Nice job, hope to hear more from you!

Check out my beat if you got some time:

I feel like the snare sequencing needs some more swag to it...especially if your going for a Cardiak style beat. Gotta play with those velocites on the snare roll/repetitions. Also need to implement some mid factors into the joint....all im hearing is highs, missing some low mids and mid range stuff. The mix itself is also rather flat. Look into plug ins such as Spectralive or Izotope to brighten up/master your mixes. But before you do that, you gotta make sure your mix is solid to begin with. Overall my advice is work on your mix, work on giving your snares/drums some more swag (less quantization or get some quantization presets that spice up your drum programming), and work on creatively and maybe even strategically filling up frequency spectrum in your joints.
