10/10 Spooktacular - Coltrane Sample Flip - F4F

[The_El_Paso]

I pitched down and sampled "A Misty Night" by John Coltrane and threw on some drums, sidechaining and other sound fx and made this in about 3 hours.

I feel that it's really good so it would be especially helpful if you guys could find flaws in it.

Cool beat man.. only thing I can hear is the hi hats sound too hot, hurts the ears a bit through my headphones, maybe turn down some of their higher frequencies?

I like it, very good melodies/vibe. I would probably make the hi hat a little bit louder and my opinion would be to go for some other sounding hi hat.
I like the change ups in the beat also, keep doing ya thing!

Tasteful flip man, but I'm not gonna lie I think those drums are completely out of place.
I feel like for this particular type of work, a more lo-fi drum sound would work better, maybe compress and add some saturation/tube gain to some old drum loops. Just my two cents though!
