Producing + Singing // feedback needed

I've been producing beats and recording tracks for people in my neck of the woods, but I've always wanted to take a stab at it myself. I recorded this a few days ago. I have no monitors at the moment. I'm planning on buying some next month and revisiting this track to mix it better. Also need to find a set studio location so I can do some sound treatment. I recorded this in a closet full of clothes with a broken mic stand hanging off of clothes hangers. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Just want to know what to focus on come next recording/mixing session.

 
love the chill opening and suspensful beat

the vocals are pretty good, i'd boost the levels and double them and stereo pan them more, do another vocal track, turn it louder and don't stress the words as much, then go through and add an ad-libs track (where you double / emphasize particular words of each phrase)

I think the song needs a better break after the third section, maybe add an arpeggiated synth or something that ratchets up the dynamics

all in all, it's pretty cool, you got the foundation, just keep working with it

To start, I love the beat! The intro built it up perfectly, and it has that great atmospheric vibe that's addicting!

I enjoyed the vocals as well, but they could use some work. They sounded thin, I'm not much of a mixing specialist when it comes to vocals but try thickening the vocals so they sound more grand instead of empty. But I enjoyed how you laid them down over the beat. Just work on the mix.

Overall I really liked this tack, the beat is engaging and you sounded good over them. Just have a cleaner mix and you'll be good.
 
I like the beat alot is has a very chill vibe. I think you should increase the vocals and maybe mess around with the pitch of the vocals. Some parts of the track if they had a higher pitch it would sound really good

The beat itself is really good. I love the build, the atmosphere, the general vibe. That main synth is really lush. If you want me to be honest I am not really feeling the vocals. I like the lyrics and I don't think your singing is terrible (Maybe with a better mix it could be better) I just think it could be better. Like you said, your recording situation is not the best right now. Anyways good work brother and keep at it!

Left you some feedback man, great beat once again! And thank you for the feedback, yeah I think a lot of it has to do with my recording setup and a good part of it to the singing itself. Definitely do got some improving to do but it'll get there in due time. Just working with my setup and saving up to get a good one. Thanks again!

The beat gets slightly repetitive after a couple minutes or so. I'd try to change up the rhythms a little :)

Dope song . Aside from your recording situation it sounds great . Vocals aren't bad at all and the content is cool . beats sounds good too .
