I accidentally posted an R&B track in the Rap thread... hopefully that's why I wasn't getting a lot of feedback. Anyways, I'm here now, and I wanted to get your take on these beats. I posted the beat "Softly" in the Rap thread, but I'm posting my newest upload here. Let me know how you guys feel about this. Check out my other beats if you have time! Would appreciate that.

As always. Drop those links. F4F ASAP.

I like the beat. I personally feel like it would be better if you didn't have the vocal sample playing through the whole song. Maybe just the hook or even in the verse. Just my opinion. Also, I wouldn't try and label yourself as an OVO producer. It does have an OVO sound, but you can easily manipulate it into your own style. Hope this helped a little.

You have potential and I'm not bullshitting you. Like the other guy said, try not to sample the vocal so much, let it go in certain parts and in others just completely shut it down. By doing this you'll give the vocal a bit more charm and expectancy.

Check out my track!

To get on OVO as a producer you gotta be as good as the other dudes there. Brand yourself, watch alot of tutorials and learn how to manipulate sounds. You don't sound bad but mixing could be a little better. I have a couple of ovo type beats on my youtube channel check them out.
