Sup guys, so i just basically chopped a 4 bar loop of a sample out of some random 1960's track and im just wondering if you guys use stereo enhancing on a sample? or reverb or delay? im just curious as to what effects producers actually use on samples i would assume i would use nothing since a sample is basically that its a sample thats already had the effects and stereo enhancing effects added to it?

Fruity loops has stereo enhancer has a preset called subtle but it sounds abit too i don't no it sounds phased i guess? it sounds like the sample is in the background and not infront of me im abit new to stereo enhancing

The standard answer is "do what you feel you should do", which is completely right. Any kind of effects you want to use should be because it's creating the sound you want, not just because it's something you should so.
