How do you tune your samples?

I love using my own samples, but i tend to run into issues often with the tuning of each sample. When I want to use 2 or more samples together they usually don't go well together because of there tone. Are there any programs out there that can tune samples? (in terms of semi tones, I can change whole tones) Thanks!
 
I generally tune the (one shot) sample, against a piano vst, then adjust the pitch of the sample.

Or you can always span the sample across the keyboard and locate the correct pitch like that.
