Hey!
Here is my mix.
I'd be so happy to hear from you what i could improve and how i could achieve that!
I have been reading and experementing for a while now. But now i seem to be stuck because i don't know how to improve the mix further.
Especially the raps; i find them to be too thin and still way too cheap and amateur-like sounding. Problem is i don't know why that is so.
My mic is the Rode NT1a and i use a Tascam US122L interface. The dry recording then sounds like in the example. Although that is two
takes doubled and a deesser on it.
The effects on the edited take:
1. compressor (a light one to pull down the high spikes at the beginning of some words)
2. very little reverb
3. EQ (narrow boost of the high highs, broad and small boost of the treble-range and a high-pass at 70 Hz)
4. very little distortion
5. compressor (with a ratio at about 6 to 1 and a middle-fast attack- and release-time)
Looking forward to any comments!
