Make Garageband Sound Like Old-School Sampler?

Anyone know how to make Garageband sound like a classic sampler? I want that classic hip-hop sound.

How would I go about getting that? Some combination of plug-ins and equalizer settings?

Try reducing the bit depth to 12 bit .
