Does anyone Know how to Make Acapellas?

You provided a lot of info on what you are trying to do..
Record yourself singing or rapping and don't add any instruments to it and you got an acapella.

If you are talking about getting acapellas from a certain artist for remixing, either get some 12" singles with acapella versions on them or search the internet.

press the "solo" button on ur vocal trk.. ur about to get about 100 different answers.. hehe

If you cant find/download the acapella do this:

take the instrumental for that song you want an acapella for and line it up perfectly with the song in your daw and invert the phase on the instrumental. The inverted instrumental will cancel itself out on the song leaving just the acapella (and sometimes some artifacts). Make sure both are the same quality, same volume, and make sure its LINED UP PERFECTLY, or you'll hear flanging.

^And that's only gonna work if the instrumental is really just the song without vocals and hasn't been processed/mixed/mastered differently - ie. it's exactly the same.

Other than that, it's either getting the source files or just clever filtering & EQing and using other instruments/voices/whatever to mask the remnants of the backing track. Spectral processing tools like Extra Boy Pro can occasionally work really well, though...
