Studio Session: J. Cole Breaks Down The Production For "Power Trip" - YouTube
So I was watching this video of how J. Cole produced Power Trip and around 4:49, he starts talking about how he slowed down a snare to get that unique sound that's heard throughout the beat. Does anyone know how he did this? In Ableton, I'm aware of transposing samples, which would slow down the sample, but obviously change the pitch. Is what he did to the sound similar to transposing it? Or is it something different? And is it possible to slow down a sound/sample without altering the pitch?
