Whats good people Im in the market for a new mixer and wanted to get some input from people overall as to whats peoples favorite. Dont jump out of your seat and tell me to research because I did. The poll is composed of what mixers I heared people mention.

https://www.futureproducers.com/forums/search.php?searchid=503230

PS: Im on a budget so you can vote for your favorite mixer but list a budget option in the comments.

Thanks

This may even qualify for a sticky since I would assume that alot of people look for this info, thats if anybody votes.

For those who care here are some links on prices

of course i havent used all of those mixers...but i do scratch and mix... and the high end rane and Vestax have yet to let me down-

as for the budget... i would look for a good one off Ebay... honestly you get what you pay for...

i've had both a staton and numark mixer... returned both those (after they broke) in less than a week...

my rane and vestax have both lasted me over 5 years without even having to switch out the crossfader... thats the truth....

BUY CHEAP BUY TWICE

i looked at vestax and pioneer mixers when i was in the market. they were both fairly expensive for sum decent onez although had good reviews. supposedly superior sound quality on pioneers but i doubt it's noticeable. vestax were lacking in features for me. i copped a numark dxm 06 cuz it's got 24 bit rate for recording, lots of fx for live ish, plus it looks sleek.

id say u should go for the Pioneer DJM 600 - industry standard and a reasonable price, a new 1 will cast u about £600 but there are loads of second-hand ones begging to be bought

I bought a Rane TTM56i last week & it is so nice to mix/scratch with, personally I would avoid the Pioneer 707 as the model has been discontinued, unless because of this you can get it at a super cheap price, the 909 on the otherhand looks like lots of fun

Good luck with the decision

Yeah I've also got a limited edition SK2F, it's okay not bad fader, ok sound, but a lack of outputs & the EQ is SH*T

Cool, I just need something to hold me over for now untill I get some gigs. I seen them for like a $100.00 so I might cop one for now.

if you want something cheap that still does a good job i would recomend the Denon DN-X100. they only cost $200, they sound good, work good and EQ well. i picked one up to use while i was waiting for my Xone-92 to get shipped back over from england and i was impressed. i dont think you will find a better mixer for that price unless it's a disontinued model.

Straight...thnks...will check it out.

Could someone tell Me why the PMC 08 isn't in the lead? I love that mixer! Never mind I 4got the "overall price" part of the poll...that might have something to do with it

I own a TTM56 and that thing is bomb but imo there are some things they could fix such as the Line fader curve and the amout of EQ (Only +6!)

I think, If you can afford it, get the 909. Thing has everything. The fully customizable faders are oure sex and everything else about it is top. Im a huge rane head but ive gotta got with the 909 on this one.

Th 56 is known for having one of the best (if not THE best) effects send/return and the faders are smoother than any other, especially with the spring mod i put in.

Still the 909 would be overall more practicle. If you cant afford it then its all about the TTM56

The Pioneer 909 is the mixer that I use now. I love all the features especially the effects and the touch screen. The crossfader is super nice as well. The only drawbacks to it are the price of course, the width(it's wider than the 05 pro),the weight-IT'S HEAVY!!!! It can't be placed between your flight cases because the face plate doesn't extend out. You have to have your decks out of the cases. The last con is channel 1. It shares the mic,line/cd and phono options making it kind of difficult to use Serato AND actual vinyl records at the same time. I also have the TTM 56-outstanding mixer. If it had effects that would be the ultimate mixer for me. I've had an 05 Pro since 99 and I love it too. Great mixer. I also have the Technics sh dj 1200 mixer that I won in 99 at the DMC regionals in Houston. It's a good mixer too but the crossfader is weak. I don't really use it. I have it mostly for looks and sentimental value.

Thats the reason im getting a KP3 for my TTM56 :D

One thing that people should know about the 56, its TINY in width compared to some of the other popular mixers. I had a PMC 05 III and when I got the 56 it was like compact!

Its not a probleem or anything, I kind of like it, heres a pic I took...(Unfortunatly this was BEFORE I got my DSLR so the pic is ****ty lol)

Check out the width difference

I wouldn't recommend this mixer to anyone.

Dude definately get the TTM56, Iv got ****loads of mixers and nothing compares in terms of sound, build quality and the sheer genius of the faders. By the way the MixMaster9000 is a joke Qbert came up with for a skit its not real haha.

I second this.

I have owned alot of mixers. Currently I have a DMJ800 and its ok, it has lost of option that I don't use.

For a raw scratch mixer you can't go wrong with the rane series.
