Yeah, this is kinda like transformer/puch buttons. Before I had mastered the fader I used to use the punches for scratching, they're so easy to use, but this make you reliant on them. I decided that I had to relearn my techniques as you can do so much more with the faders.
You can do a similar thing to the samaurai clicks by using a delay effect pedal, when used correctly you can simulate beat juggling, but with only one record.
As to it cheaping scratching, well it will make it easier, in the short term, but those who have fully developed their skills will still come out on top as they will be doing around 32 clicks with a samurai mixer!!
