I've created some loops in fruity and saved em as wav files. Cubase won't let me open em.

Is it possible????

assuming that you have a modern audio version of cubase & not just the midi version for an Atari ST etc then yes... opening & importing wav files is one of the things that Cubase does best...

What does Cubase say when you try to import the wav file?

no no no
sounds like you're trying to go to open & then select a wav file.. you need to import the file

File>>import>>audio file :)

does that work?

You need to start a project first and then do as messyman said.

right - import the wav file to a track in your sequencer.

importing .wav files

An engineeer I'm working with is trying to open .wav files in Cubase 4.2 and says he can't do it. What is he doing wrong? I'm a Pro Tools user so I can't help him. I can't imagine Cubase 4.2 can't import .wav files.

I dont know, what is he doing wrong?

Cubase has no problems importing wav files as long as they arent corrupt

Most likely people are trying to open the files directly rather than importing when they get an error.
