"HIPHOP IS NOT DEAD" CONTEST. (ATTENTION ALL PRODUCERS.)
lately, i've been hearing alot of gripes & complaints about the industry as well as the state of Hiphop and how its "dying" or is "dead" (even from myself).
im also a bit overwhelmed with the amount of comments & messages i get on some "check out my beats Jin! they're fireeee!".
so, to kill 2 birds with one stone, i present the "HIPHOP IS NOT DEAD" contest for all you aspiring producers out there.
it's real simple. make a beat. upload it onto your music players (title the beat "it's alive"). once its been uploaded, leave a comment in this blog letting us know. in one week (9/12/06), me and my crafty constituents will pick one and i will use your beat to record a joint called "It's Alive".
CRITERIA FOR THE BEAT:
i am not looking for any particular sound.
not necessarily underground.
not necessarily commercial.
just an overall dope beat.
you know those type of undeniable beats that
as soon as it drops, everyone's face in the
room "crunches up" like someone
just laid a mean ol nasty fart.
one of those beats.
the deadline is (9/12/06) at 6 PM Eastern. this BLOG will be closed at that point so make sure your entry is in by then.
to make things even easier, i've already uploaded the sample for the intro.
just right-click and save to download.

(note: all entries must incorporate this sample in the intro)
the final song will be exclusively heard here on my Myspace page.
