Collie Buddz the heart of reggae BUT CAN HE FREE STYLE??!! part II

freestyle 2 me is new lyrics on the spot

Freestyles ain't free no more, u know what I mean? Any artist can jump on a riddim and drop some written lyrics he have that the ppl ain't heard before. As far as dancehall, Ninja is one of the few that can truly freestyle.

That said, I still rate the dude so his supporters don't need to fight me

this are all freestyle battle lyrics. I could give you a dozen more if i had the time. Jamaicans did that since the 50's when Duke Reid his sound (with Prince Buster on the mic) clashed against Coxxone's Studio 1 sound (with Count Ossie and Dennis Al Capone on the mic) ao. Hiphop battles didn't exist then, even hiphop didn't exist then... they actually took the battle culture form jamaica to make them own in the 70's

Heart of reggae my ass. **** Collie Buddz. I am so sick of people hijacking black culture and tossing it over to these mother****ers. Get the **** outta here with that **** dude. Buju, Bounty, beenie(really cant stand him), Kartel, Aidonia as a matter of fact the whole Alliance and countless others are the heart and kings of reggae. Dont try to pull this elvis **** around here. Funny the other day I read an article where the author pretty much said Phil Spector invented DUB. I was so sick to my stomach. Black people stand up and keep your culture. Reggae, Hip Hop, Jazz, etc are Black Art forms dont forget it, no white dude can be the heart of any of these.

Thanks for the history lesson, lol! but i've been to JA and taken in many live sessions at house of leo, skateland, etc. including sunsplash. I said Ninja is one of the few; I'm talking nowadays djs. I don't need to watch them videos.

then search kartell, idonia, bounty, movado, assassin, ... video's, and you will see!!!

and collie budz is one of the hypes of the moment, not the heart of the reggae, therefore he need to write way more hits and classics than come arround. Someone like Jacob Miller, Bob Marley or Garnet Silk can claim to be the heart of the reggae, but not a one hit wonder like collie budz.

I'm sorry to break people glasses around here, but reggae is no longer just black culture, its a universal thing, that damn, black people should be proud of that. Music is a universal language, and its its good music, man, other cultures will adapt, whats wrong with that?? people are not hijacking it. U got to be honest, collie buddz is doing good, more popy like sean paul, but not bad.

of course i will agree, nothing near to the heart of reggae

The hell you say. Reggae will always be Black Culture 1st, despite how you try to spin the truth. How can non Africans adapt to the culture... if you don't enforce the respect that goes along with it? Don't try to paint a hazy shade on the essence, history, or the developement of the artform... just to allow easy entry for opportunist.
Just because you 'smoke' and rename yourself... just to blend in... don't make you authentic in spirit. That "spirit" is what validates you... not the economic demands or exploitive wishes of non Africans.
Maybe your version of history... downplays the results of 'that type of mindset'... but, on my end... it makes up for a majority of the meaningful contributions that 'our' people have brought to the table... just to be offered the scraps from the feast.(often placed on the floor)

I've also seen how non Africans... rally around those that do what you're embracing... often leading to a biased report of talent and sales.
(supporting... not because of actual quality... but, out of familiararity)

well of course it will always be black culture first and foremost, nobody said otherwise, read before making assumptions, and again, who says respect is not shown to africans? man u obviously live in some hole there artists dont, because every artist i know that is not african, and do african-based music have a deep respect and admiration for the original people who founded the music.
u need to stop living in that world of self-pity and accusation to the rest of the world for downplaying you. Maybe the white people once did, but that was centuries ago, im sure that most people in the worl today respect black culture

stop saying otherwise

Let me guess, just because some "good ole boy from Louisiana" moves to the Islands... throws out a mocked up dialect, and that makes it acceptable or a sign of progression? Get the hell out of here with that garbage! You probally thought the same sh!t about 'SNOW'. There's a reason why this mediocre artist... is rated highly amongst Canadians.

Collie Buddz is nothing more than a white hype(the only reason why you bring him up... is not due to talent, but a rarity. "Shock Value"... period.) He's another "SNOW" and will have a bunch of non-dancehall/non-reggae corny mf's... talking out their asses. He has a helluva lot to prove... and that is done with time... and not by this blantant d!ckriding that you're on.
Who THE HELL are you... to "change" the status of a culture or say,"reggae is no longer a black culture" ... soley because of... this gimic? I bet you think white South Africans as part of this 'melting pot' of culture of unity too. You ought to see how 'they' blended into the surroundings... that's right... they bent the surroundings around them and justified it.

I judge by actions... and to be honest with you... YOU'RE AND OUT OF TOUCH FOOL! GET INFORMED 1ST BEFORE YOU MAKE "SHIELDED" CLAIMS.

read a book or something... damn!
