Vocal effect advice - Beach Boys etc...

Hi,

Is there a way to achieve the Beach Boys, Animal Collective, Panda Bear etc... vocal effect using VST plugins? What kind of plugins would I need? Reverbs?

I always thought most of their vocals were dry sounding.

I would think mainly it's the harmonies and the falsetto type voicing some of them sung.

I would think though they used heavy EQ to highlight certain frequencies.

I would probably also look into some vintage tape simulation and tube plug-ins to probably emulate some of the gear they would have used.

I think the hardest part would find someone who sings like that.
