Some friends and I are thinking about putting together a sample disc company and we are eager to know what artist/producers really want from a sample CD collection. Are you more interested in beats, construction kits, multisamples, one-shots? Do you want sample CDs that are genre specific--as in electro, trance, club, idm--or are you interested in one-of-a-kind sounds and loops?
Is there anything that you think many sample collections lack? Moreover, what method do you prefer for getting samples? Do you prefer to buy them as a whole collection in a CD that is shipped to you, or would you like to be able to download beats and sounds individually?
