I produce pop, hip-hop, dance and rock. My production style I would say is very clean dirt, where you can hear the imperfections and grit of everything in a very clean way. I use a colored gritty pre but everything is always very clean and well recorded. I also have a modest mixing style more designed for long term listening than loud singles on the radio style. I've been a professional recording engineer/producer for close to 7 years.

I love colored sounding gear but I also love a nice clean sound with plenty of headroom so that everything is very acoustical and natural sounding. I'm working on becoming more wild and crazy with my sound.

My vocal chain right now is a GT66 or a Shure SM7b to a Neve clone mic pre to a FMR RNC to a Digi 002R. Next on my list is getting my Bock Audio 195 fixed and getting my Black Lion Sparrow converters. Then comes a LA-2A and a 1176 comp.
 
Most of what I use is freeware, and magware.
Ext2 core, Tracktion 1.6, Audacity, Podium 1.77, Mu.Lab free are all programs I have used in the past.
