I've been using FL for awhile now and had a chance to try out reason, cubase and Nuendo. I'm really liking cubase sx and getting the hang of it but..Is there something equivilent to the piano roll in cubase and nuendo? or is that where you need a midi controller and do all that through the use of a keyboard?

Double click on a midi track with existant midi data for the piano roll. Or just double click it and something should show up.

if nothing else, ctrl+shift+e brings up the key editor.

learning key commands changes everything :-D

yes.... click on draw then draw 2 bars or whatever then double click on that **** and a piano roll/step editor will pop up

the easiest way to do this is to use
CTTL and ALT to move the bounds of the song

CTRL + click moves the left
ALT + click moves the right

- So alt click in the top where the bars are above your tracks and you should see a blue area light up
- Then double click in the blue area where there is a midi track and a grey box will show up
- Double click on the grey box and you have your "Piano Roll" althoug in Cubase, it's called a Key Editor.
