Hello to everyone!!

I'm gonna lay out a few basic questions.
I hope someone can answer them.
It'll save me 50 bucks.

1. tutorial links for cubase
2. where do I find more vstinstruments?
3. is there a general setting sound technicians use for recording mic?
4. is there a general setting sound technicians use for recording guitar with mic?
5. is there a software I can buy that has great sounding full chord strokes of different types of guitar? Maybe some great sounding drums? Bass? etc.

I know, Newbie. But am hungry. Can't find a band, so am going to be my own.
Appreciate any help or starting points.

God Bless!!

Thanx for the tip.

I think most of my answers are somewhere on this forum.

So I'll keep lookin'.

1. Try the FP Resourses
2. Try the FP Resources
3. What?
4. what mic, what guitar, what pre-amp, with room?

Mic = Shure SM-58
Guitar = Aucoustic
Preamp = Tascam US-122
Room = small bedroom (not too echoey

The SM58 isn't really what would be best suited to record an acoustic guitar - a large diaphragm condenser would make life much more easier. You'll have to get the mic very close to the guitar to get a decent sound. On the other hand, you don't have to worry much about room dynamics with that setup.

As for the VST's, try KvR.

Guitar strokes, drums, bass - start sifting through sample cd's. There's plenty (and that's an understatement).
