CME UF8 How do you reset the keyboard to factory settings or troubleshoot??

I cannot seem to get my keyboard working. It lost communication after I installed an axiom 49. I have pulled the axiom 49 off my system. But, I no longer can communicate with my DAW. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Maybe I changed something on the Keyboard?

Can someone help me reset the keyboard or help troubleshoot the problem? I have been trying all day and have had no luck.

did you unistall the axiom drivers or did you just unplug the axiom? have you unplugged and plugged the cme back up, reinstalled the drivers? what else have you tried to rectify the problem, this way we don't waste time making fruitless sugestions.

Good suggestion LE!

1. At first I did simply umplug the Axiom. But, later I did uninstall the driver(I think).

2. I messed around with a the audio/midi settings in 3 DAWs.

3. I unplugged the keyboard 2 times so far.

4. I installed a midi diagnostic application and midi in and out "seemed" to be working.

Maybe I should try hooking it up to a different PC? I no longer have a laptop to try, since I sold it to start this music workstation.

Unhook and uninstall the drivers for the cme, then reinstall, weird that the aixom install would cause this.

I forgot to mention! The knobs and sliders on the control surface work fine. It's the keys that I'm having an issue with. I will try replacing the driver tonight and see what happens. I would ask CME. But, their support is non-existent. Another item I will try is connecting the CME up to my computer via the midi inputs. I should be receiving my new audio interface tonight and I coudl try connecting the UF8 up to the saffire and use a power supply. It may not be a permanent fix, but, at least I will know if it's a problem with the keyboard programming or the driver. If it is a problem with the keyboard programming, I have no idea what to press to fix it( I guess I should read the manual. huh?)LOL
