Mpc 2000XL and external effects racks

i was wondering how would you use an external effects rack with an mpc 2000XL and have the mpc hooked up to a pro tools interface thats connected to your comp and you are recording live. How do you assign a certain effect from the external effects rack to a sound in the mpc??? need some help ,thanks

If you have a console you'd route the MPC track to an Aux send/return with the efx setup on the Aux return.

The better way to do it (since you really don't want to record a track with efx on it) is to record all your tracks into PT. Then setup the efx unit on a send/return Aux channel in PT w/the efx unit connected to the interface.

Sends and Returns are your best friend.

It's all good man. Once you learn how to properly use Aux channels and send/returns you'll be on your way to making better mixes.
