E-mu6400 Ultra Q:?

You have to connect your sampler to the pc via scsi card, also very handy if your using progs like recycle, to chop up breakbeats and drumloops:) :)

you can't hook it up to your computer hd. you have to buy a seperate external scsi hd for the sampler. I know I own this sampler.

2nd Q:

THANK YOU ALL:cheers:

Q2: how to use the CDs to load samples to the 6400?

do I need an external CD?

Yes you do and you can hook it up to your computer hard drive, but I you need an SCSI card in your computer.

I HAVE SCSI in my MAC G4:D but the MAC don't know how read this type of CDs (EMU)
do I need a program on my mac for the cd to load?

I'm pretty sure the EOS Link software can do that. I think it comes with the sampler, if not, you can buy it from www.emu.com for 40 bucks. I havn't used it yet, but I've heard it's great. You'll need it to send files to your sampler. It also lets you control all the menus from your computer instead of from the samplers screen... or if you have Sound Forge, you can send audio samples and that's it, none of the other cool stuff..

Ebay is probably the best place to find an external CD-ROM.
