hows the scarlett treating you, interested in one myself..
It works really nice for me man, i truly love it, when i record its really clean and nice sound a beauty pre amp.

Extra Info:

Well for some other extra information im a totally ignorant about gear and recording stuff so probably my review or point of view its not that valid like some one who had tested other interfaces, and this is so my first recording gear that i got, its the one that attract me more, so i got it and i really like it.

Im from Bolivia and stuff here its expensive becouse the shops buy from countainers from Miami(so the shipping depends on the size and weight of the product you buying), if they american or the cheapest things come from CHINA, well there its a lot of m audio here but im not a big fan, i was reciewing a lot for the fast track pro and i didint liked it at all, not even for the price that was like 240$ in here on internet was like 180$ more for the Pre Amplification it got for recording, i didint liked how it sound i found on youtube and other independent production with this gear, the focusrite scarlett its cost me 175$ and its 135 on the internet, i had to wait 30 days to get the thing, well the deal its i love it its the only thing i use for recording, drums, guitar and voice, with the AT 2020 mic wich i really like a lot.

i wish i could show you links of reviews of this product in the internet, there is a guy that its italian that you cant understand anything what he says but you can check how good this interface work for recording, i got what i wanted for a low budget im totally satisfied with this product.

You can search me on soundcloud El Lado Cansado and listen to the songs i recoreded with this

One thing i wish to learn its how to boost up my vocals and the instruments so they sound better and more strong, and i dont think its the interface its maybe the mic AT2020 wich is great for a low budget.

heard it was good alright, was just wondering if there was any problems with drivers etc. im looking to downgrade my setup to make it more compact so i need to remove a mixer and another soundcard, my own setup works fine but ive very little desk space to work with.

Pretty basic but good enough for being set up in my bedroom.

Macbook Pro
Software: Logic Pro 8 & Traktor Scratch Pro
Samson 5a Monitors
Akai MPD18
Yamaha DGX-505
Numark Mixtrack
Samson USB Condensor (not pictured)

The setup was a little nicer before I graduated and had to move home:

Here's my humble little studio.... This was supposed to be my huge walk-in closet, but I decided to turn it into a mini studio! I'm still working on the acoustics, especially in the vocal booth. Let me know what you think!

Thanks dude.:) I use Event PS8's & EV S15's powered by a qsc rmx 1850hd amp.
Ive been trying to tell people about the Event PS6's & PS8"s, Ive had mine for a long time now and haven't even considered replacing them. Great Monitors and very gentle on the ears for long sessions, for the price you can pick them up used these days they cant be beat.

This is my setup but I'm still adding things and I still have the sitting area and vocal booth to complete.

Nope not really. I just use to watch my brother -in-law work and use by memory what i seen him do and built the studio. I've been working on this studio since last thanksgiving, after work and on the weekends by myself with not one finger of help. There is a lot of wood cuts and section of the flooring that i wish that i can redo but hell im tired and just wants to record.

The pictures don't do the room justice cause it looks very very nice in person.

Thanks

Freq Analyzer For Room Test 016.webpNew Corner Bass Traps 001.webpNew Corner Bass Traps 006.webp

So more pic of me running REW acoustic test on the room with Event P8's but test can not be reliable due to problems with one of the speakers. Pic 2 and 3 is 10" additional add on to rear corners tune bass traps. I added a 4'' air gap and then 6'' of rockwool, cover with fabric and then added wood slates with wider gapping in the front to suck up more bass while still reflecting some hi freq back in the room. More testing to do.

Wow that wood/bass trap/diffuser looks awesome! How long did it take you to make them and how much did it cost?

Thanks,

The back part of the tune trap was a b**ch to do cause i have 6 acoustic hangers then seal the trap with LMV and then more rockwool. That part has taken me a few weeks to do cause i had to do it like my studio designer design it. The 10" add on part only took me a few days to do. I will post some pic so you can see what i had to do.

Cost for the traps cost a lot but i had mostly all the material from my old studio.

My old setup over the years. I didn't know shit about acoustic treatment back then and the mixes translate fairly well but i was not satisfied. So i hired a studio designer so i can stop wasting more money trying to do it myself.
