I suggest getting your fans involved. If you have honest fans, they'll choose the best beat. And, if you don't have any fans, you should get some. It's kind of hard to make it the music business without fans, lol.
 
yo jc i had an idea of like having small leagues with like 10 producers in each league. we could categorize them by daw, age or whatever.....

What you think?
 
im not gonna lie, i was kinda disappointed because i felt i had the best beat. im sure others felt the same about their own music

but at the same time, i guess i was misinformed on the whole getting your fans to vote for you, i just think the system has got to be a little better to make it a true success.. people should be voting based on the music, if i link to the battle and say "vote for me" in a thread, people are going to go and do just that without even listening.

can't really get a good read on if the fans would make those same votes if they werent invited for it.

i kind of liked how the battles were set up like in the FP Battle League days as far as voting goes. just a suggestion though, i think it could turn out well towards the future, i dont have any submission this go around but if i come up with something i feel worthy i'll drop a link

You should have each producer send you a file for the beat, and then stream the beats via a site like soundcloud anonymously. Then make it a tournament so that each beat is battling just one other beat. If you have a ton of beats, not everyone is going to listen to all the beats. This is really the only way to make it purely about the music, so do it this way please!

I like the idea of having an tournament competition on SoundCloud and have been looking into it for quite some time now. An added battle would require a larger team than we currently have. We're all maxed out when it comes to the time we devote to the winners of this competition, which is exclusive to Future Producer members and free to enter. Also, this competition is officially sponsored by Future Producers as well as a few other companies like GigHive and others; custom websites don't come cheap, you know? We're a group of extremely active music professionals who encourage others to promote and market the great music they make to new people, which is why the prizes are what they are.

This is a great idea, we just don't have the man power at the moment. PM me if you'd like to discuss this further and, who knows; maybe we can get thing poppin on soundcloud too.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Go Advanced. After that, select the video icon in the editor menu where you type your responses. You'll be able to upload your video from there.

They're battling for first place. Listeners and voters are fully capable of deciding which beats they like most... Those who enter need to promote their entries.
