Nope. I know this is an older plug but Does anybody own this 1: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/456.html

I saw that a long time ago and wanted it... I think I tried it out and it made trance type music, can't remember though.

It's an omen, I start an E-Fight forum and then this shows up in my email inbox...

anything more than a personal soundclick page with videos (ustream).

That's probably a good idea... you could embed the ustream player into your soundclick and debut your new ish once a week or something live.

Rake in all those $20 leases without having to fly up the charts...

I guess.

I looked at the large screen shot of it... and it looks like it could be really useful.

I mean if those people are using it... that speaks volumes about it.

It's $335 though, lol. Too rich for my blood. If I get anything else though, this looks like what I'll buy. I'll probably have it in a few months. I could buy it next month but I'm getting a factory tune up and I have to stash away a $1,000... just had to come with $8,000 for a new roof... and another $1,000 for a ceiling repair... plus I still haven't bought a new water heater... I want this damn plugin though, lol.... and I don't mess with cracked ish.

Ken Lewis, what's up with this plug in?

Whew. I need to get that tune up too...for the truck and the bike.

Insurance just paid for the roof, for when the remnants of Hurricane Ike blew through here 2 years ago. Got lucky.

House life. Know I hate it. That's why I wanna dump this place and get a condo...but can't do the music in the condo.

Also, I believe people take your email address if they see it (on FP). I didn't sign up for most of the plugin / music site news I get via email. Good stuff though.

... looks like those Dynamic Producer people are on the move too.

I don't know about youlicense.com but somebody else is in the licensing biz too... said they just signed a deal with MTV Networks - www.dynamiclicensing.com

Dynamic Licensing was created to give solid placement opportunities to producers and songwriters looking to land their music in both major and independent films, tv, video games, and other forms of digital media.

I remember WallBangerz saying he got $30,000 for a CD he mailed in to Rockstar Games for Midnight Club. He said it only had 5 or 6 songs on it.

That's why I wanna dump this place and get a condo...but can't do the music in the condo.

I know a lady that has a condo and she said the people complain about everything... and there are a bunch of meetings and stuff.

Only good things is... my house is worth double of what I got it at.

Yeah...Licensing is a big thing. Licensing is the new "major placements".

But people called me crazy and a disgruntled old man when I said I was done chasing major placements.

Now look. Dynamic Producer is adding TV and Film licensing to their services.

And the Condo thing...yeah. Condo association fees, and meetings, and neighbors.

I was looking at a "luxury" high rise condo....Idk how the construction of that place is vs your normal wood and drywall condo.

I just hate grass. Hate cutting it.

Troup regardless of what's going on you shouldn't have to prove yourself to anyone on this site (unless they are paying your bills or putting food on your plate) I understand that you were the type of person that likes to share your ideas and goals, which is great but it also becomes a problem when people want to "call you out" or "expose" you (that's what they think they are doing) But there's no such thing as these things happening over night and especially for the things you are trying to accomplish. You are the type of person that i see that isn't about "placements," you are wanting far more than that of an average producer. Therefore some may see your goals as unreachable and unbelievable. Which is fine because everyone has a right to their opinion but for people to be doing this to you constantly I just think it is better that you start keeping things to yourself. I know you want to share everything and help aspiring producers; make them think "man if Troup can do it, then maybe I can" but obviously this site isn't the place to do it. (Even though that's what it's supposed to be about) You have more drive and determination than most on here which is what I think the naysayers don't like. I will never forget that you helped me a yr ago with a song I was producing/writing for an artists and even though it didn't make her album I still got paid lol. So for that I can't ever look at you like you're this egotistical, cocky person that they make you out to be. I don't really visit IS alot because of other engagements but whether it's successful to me or someone else doesn't matter. It's all about what your true meaning of success is and if you have reached it or haven't is your own business. I will give you props because you're in a position to create opportunities for yourself. And you have planned out everything you plan to do; I wouldn't doubt that you have laid it out for the next few years what you want to achieve. I want to see you succeed, you have put your heart and soul into this and it will pay off. I feel like i always step in and try to back you but it isn't because "I'm on your jock" or whatever the term is some of these people are using nowadays (damn im getting old lol) I just hate to see people trying to break down someone's spirit when they deem it necessary.

That's real. Thank you.

And what you just said are the reasons that I still even hang around here...to help people

I have noticed that when you speak of greatness...when you aspire to greatness. When you have a true love and passion for something...and when you expect nothing less than excellence of yourself...it intimidates people. People don't feel that way about themselves, so they take you setting those aspirations for yourself, as some type of slight towards them, when it's not the case.

I do it to help people. A big part of IndustrySound.com is about helping people...and it's working...my time here on FP is working. Because people tell me all the time that something I did, said, showed them, told them...helped them along their journey.

I got an IM about 8-9 months ago, and it was this guy, thanking me for the advice that I had given him some time earlier. He said it helped his artist secure a major record deal.

Just a few weeks ago, I turned on the radio, and this same artists song was playing. And it's KEPT playing. Over and over and over again.

I said to myself, WOW, I remember giving feedback on a few of that guys records over IM. And he actually did it.

I just told the homie that he was welcome, I was glad to help, and I'm glad everything worked out for him. I didn't hit him up for no placements, didn't try to eat off of his situation, he doesn't owe me anything, nothing.

That's what I stick around here for. Because despite all the hate, someone, somewhere is getting something out of the very things that people try to crucify me for.

And before you as, no I won't mention the artist. :)

im tired of ppl acting like big shots when their really not, ie, jtroup...i dont wanna hate, but how many years have u been doing this and what do u have to show for it? have u made any major placements? any placements at all? ur obviously not doing this music thing as a hobby so what have u accomplished really?

I just wanted to point out that the proprietor of industrysound.com has been much more professional and personable than the person linking youlicense.com

It's funny when someone slings mud and then wants people to visit their website. Seen it happen a few times recently on FP with different people involved. Sure doesn't make me want to check out their site. Now OMP/e-fights....that sounds interesting...f*ck biggrome. That's why.

I do agree that there's something about IS.com that isn't as inviting as this place. Maybe it's because there's not as much BS going on, so the people just looking for entertainment don't really check it out. I can't put my finger on it, but once I do I'll start a thread and we can do this all over again, pointing out the flaws in j.troup and his website.

It'll be fun.

Hey troup, I was gonna PM you, but I'll just ask here so someone can openly criticize you for it:

How much you charge for mixing services? If I wanted a beat mixed (no vocals) better than my capabilities, what would we be looking at? Flat fee, hourly rate? Probably no more than 8-12 tracks per beat.

@Deranged, chris carter or anyone else that offers mixing as a service, same question...

I'm so Hip Hop, I spell it the ignant way.

Sign up on the E-Fights page with a valid email address to be email blasted when there's some action going down.

Never tip toe around or walk on eggshells again... cuss that mf out !

this ish is funny.lol

I remember when I made one of these threads ppl called me a pussy. Bout 2 or 3 years later, I'm sittin in a studio mixing a song for a show I'm doin Thursday. Nigga don't quit. **** all that sorta talk. If industry sound fails, learn from it and try again. Toughen up Troup don't act like a f*ckin woman!!!

No disrespect of course.

This the first and last time i'm doing some stuff like this...

I can't find the master license, but this is the one for the THEN "untitled Kim Kardashian Project".

Holy sh*t I live 1/2 a mile from that business address!
