I gotta say, I been hearing alot of different soundclick pages and just pages of different producers in general lately and wow, you have some serious talent man. What do you use? None the less, really really impressed, good work.

Second, how much did the page run yu'? I checked the guys website and they got some pretty major clients.

If I remember right they charge $400 for a non-flash page design.
 
I don't need a flashy design to attract clients. I simply upload a new gif. everyday so they come back just to see what's gif it is. For example:

cowgirl-singing-dancing.gif



The more compelling the gif is, the more beats you'll sell.
 
When SSO and JJ had their own way of doing their old designs everybody and their moma was following them on Soundclick and making the same ass copy designs, now that SSO and JJO were the first to come up with a new way of doing desings, this bulky type designs, everyone and their moma starts following them again and doing the same.

I really can't understand why people don't have any respect for themselves. It's like people have no own identity and can't make their own decisions and follow what other people do.

It might be that the majority of people on SC is still very young or it might because of other reasons.

If you're not a member of Team Hitz then acting like one won't make you one.

KidFlash I don't know your situation or if you're affiliated to Team Hitz in any kind of way, I'm just sick of seeing the same sh*t over and over again, to a point that it's seriously getting ridiculous. This is not what music stands, music stands for expressing yourself, and showing your identity. And yes, you can translate the same thing into business, see Apple. No need to click on 8 Soundclick accounts and 6 of them have the same ass design just in different colors.

It's not all about making that quick buck in the most cheap way possible. "Don't devalue, up the quality." <-- that's my new slogan lol.

actually its not just the sc design...many of these cats sound like members of the team hitz.

I'm not gonna lie the design does look great and came out good, at the same time it's not HIM, it's a copy, just my opinion.
 
Wooooooooooo!!!

That's a clean ass design! I love the border background! It looks super industrial in a transformers kind of way. That's a very understated but beautiful design. And of course swag on 100 is so satisfyingly hard with those big bassy hits.

Getting a mDepict design is like the Louie Vuitton of Soundclick designs. A non flash is $350 now I believe. Anyone can email them for a quote. And they are worth it by name alone because it makes people trust to buy from you.

@ live a dream, I think you have this guy mixed up with someone else. He's a frequent top 5-er on the Soundclick charts. He's actually one of the higher ups that others supposedly copy lol.

But really the uniformity comes from the nature of the design of CSS which stands for cascading so even though all our graphics are different and different colors, there's not much variety the designers can create due to the nature of the programming language and the natural layout of the soundclick site.

Even though you're limited to the limitations of SC's code, you still can get very very creative. The problem is that most people are lacking the skills of doing professional graphic designs, and most dope designers are not even doing anything for SC.

So in this sense I might be the one who is wrong, I mean I'm talking about upping your quality and Soundclick in the same sentence, isn't that contradictorily? lol

If you see it like this, most so called "producers" who are actually beatmakers are lacking the skill to make a decent beat, and now I come along and expect them to do dope and unique graphic designs and have a valuable business. Damn, I just realize i have high expectations lol.

I hope my future kids don't suffer under these expectations haha

I can show you a message with me and the guy from mdepict talking way before O or JJ had their page setup from him.

In the mean time I was thinking to myself, if getting such a design for a lot of money was really worth it because I made the designs myself too.

After seeing what he did with O's and JJ's page I was convinced to get 1 myself now.

And how come if your doing something good on SC you MUST be copying team hits?

No dissrespect to them, but I'm starting to get tired of this..if somethings sounds good, its good.

But hold up, so if you see that team hits didn't make it, its wack/copy now despite you first thought that it was good?

Anyway I do think Team Hits are one of the best on SC and much respect to them and you can't deny there are a lot of people trying to do what they do on SC.

Now back to my layout pls :)
 
No worries KidFlash, glad you didn't take my criticism the wrong way.

See, I didn't know the situation that you were exchanging with him messages before those two even got their designs up and running, and I was making assumptions about you blatantly copying them, my apologies.

The thing is you don't need to copy anybody to be at the top, but still, a lot of people think that way and they do it. And Team Hitz already knows that, see for example JJs new beat, at the beginning the vocal yells "get your own f*cking style". See his Twitter where he always complains about those copy cats. The thing is JJ has his own distinct style, so if someone copies it, it gets really obvious. Being influenced and copying are two different things.

Either way I wish you good luck with your career, much props for getting your hustle on far from the Netherlands, there is a good amount of people from Europe in the top on Soundclick, many of them come from Germany too. Even that MDEpict dude is from Germany, as Robot already said he's the Lious Vitton of Soundclick and caking up right now. lol

But somehow I think that has been there forever, like when Timbo/Danja dropped My Love from JT everyone started doing these gated synth beats and stuff right?

I think that comes with being one of the best, you will always have people trying to do what you do. Then you can do 2 things: keep complaining about it or make hotter/newer/better ****.

Thats why I have the utmost respect for JJ because you can really see he has denveloped his own style.

Yeah a lot of people are coming up from the Europe lol. I couldnt have thought SC would bring me so much..

Beginning on SC in the end of September, early October has brought me a lot of good things.

Some placements for 2010, a whole lot of connections with majors and ofcourse the money from selling beats. Just use the internet to the fullest to increase your chances of becoming a "major" producer.

But I do understand your point and I wish you good luck with your career too, artist/producer/beatmaker?

Also the whole point of soundclick is to sell your beats right? Well a wise man once said if you're going to succeed study what one successful man did and copy that to the T. SSO and JJ didn't design their pages....Mdepict did. That's his style. It's not copying.

Let's not forget this is SOUNDCLICK not the Billboard charts. Most people(90%) of them make beats thinking "will this sell on Soundclick". Most likely you're not going to sell on soundclick making 90's boom bap beats..you're going to sell making what is popular because that's what people want...and for cheap.

Come on lol.
