ZOOM Streetbox SB-246 ?????????????????

i have some questions...PLEASE HELP ME...

1.) is the streetboxx also a sampler or can i just use the presets?
2.) does it have a quantanization function? (very important)
3.) how large is it? i have to know that, so i can use it for travelling...
4.) cani change the velocity of the different parts of a beat?
(e.g. a lower hihat or a louder snare)
5.) how can i play little melodys with it?(i can see no keys)
6.) is it possible to play part after part, e.g. first a hihat line,
after that put in the kick and finally on top of it the snare..
or is it just possible to play it all the same time?...

sry for those strange questions, but im new to it, and
the official description of the product doesnt tell me those
things or i dont understand them

Not a sampler. You can only use its presets(sounds already stored inside)

Yes

Its not at all large. Its def great for traveling b/c its portable.(can use batteries)

Yes you can change the velocity of the sounds u have on each pad.

Its not really made for melodies its a drum machine more for drum programing/making drum patterns and stuff related to that but you can still get great production use out of it. It will have a few sounds on it(bass for sure) that you might can use to create a melody.

You can do either. It has loop recording so you can start off with lets say your hi hat then when it comes back around add your kick and so forth on.

I highly recommend you download the manual to make sure that is what you want.

SB-246 question

I also have a question - regarding the sequencer, I can't find much information. Does it have the potential to record (user made) multiple patterns, and furthermore, can I connect these patterns together to create a song (if I could do this in real-time, that'd be even better).

but what about the sb-246? is its sequencer able to store multiple patterns and would i be able to tie together such patterns, either in a step-approach or real-time?

You can store multiple patterns and make songs. I think you can assign different patterns to pads and record realtime. I use mine for the sounds but the sequencer is good. It's portable, battery operated, and has some good drums. Peace be with you.............Rob Mixx

the streetboxx is cool if your on the bus or train lol , makes time go by , but you go thru the sounds quick , but its deffinelty cool for dum patterns.
