When I pick up a rock CD, I'm lucky if they're 13 or 14 songs on it. Meanwhile, in rap, people are disappointed if there are only 15. Why is twelve track the standard for rock?

Personally, as long as at least three songs are worth listening to, I'm happy.

in rock/ pop they have arrangements, different basslines (yes, in the same song. wow!), and wait for it .....lyrics (that are different from the last track)!
